Safety Excellence Award Established

At Enerfab Power & Industrial, safety is at the core of every project — from estimation to closeout.

Enerfab has established a new way to award excellence in safety within the organization. The Safety Excellence Award will recognize one regional business unit for having the best safety performance in a given calendar year.

“One of the goals of our company is to make safety a part of everything that we do. It is part of our culture,” says Jacob Snyder, Director of Safety and Labor Relations. “We are excited to announce this new initiative to promote safety and team building across our regional offices.”

Enerfab Power & Industrial has Regional Offices in the following geographies:

  • Nashville
  • Harrisburg
  • Evansville
  • Cincinnati
  • Kansas City
  • Pittsburgh
  • Dunbar (West Virginia)

The award is based on three criteria:

  • Recordable Incident Rate (total number of injuries in a year)
  • DART Rate; (Days Away Restricted Transfer)
  • I-auditor software usage (for both safety and management level audits)

Each category will be ranked on a point scale from 1 to 7. The score is based on performance compared to the other regional offices. The three scores tallied together will determine the winner.

The results will be tracked and shared with the offices in their monthly statistics report and the current running totals will be shown for each office location.

The first winner will be announced January 2016 and honored with a team-building event and awards ceremony.
