Cincinnati — Jan. 29, 2019 – Enerfab, one of the largest privately-held companies in Cincinnati and one of the nation’s leaders in providing fabrication, construction, and maintenance services to the utility, chemical, and heavy industrial markets, announced Tuesday the acquisition of TMI Contractors, based in Mount Vernon, Indiana.

TMI Contractors is a fabrication and construction company specializing in steel fabrication, industrial construction, maintenance, civil, millwright, steel erection, and mechanical projects. Founded over 40 years ago, TMI serves an array of industries including petroleum, refining, chemical, commercial, energy, agricultural, and industrial manufacturing across the United States. TMI will operate as an independent Enerfab company with Phillip Wells continuing to lead their team in his role as president of the organization.

“We are all very excited about the TMI acquisition,” said Enerfab president Aaron Landolt. “This important move is part of our overall strategic growth initiative to diversify our product offering across the entire company with new capabilities in modular construction, piping skids, steel erection, and construction technologies. Together, we can now provide our customers with a much more robust product to better meet their ever-changing needs.”

Wells commented, “This is a perfect match for us. We have worked closely with Enerfab for over a decade and are excited to team together to bring a broader range of services and skill sets to our customers.” He added, “Culturally, we share the same core principles — we are a cohesive team that works well together, we remain committed to working with our local skilled labor partners, and we both have an unwavering dedication to safety and quality. I look forward to working alongside Aaron and his team for years to come and grow our mutual businesses.”
