Enerfab has earned recognition as a Top 400 Contractor for 2016 by Engineering News-Record magazine (ENR).
The publication ranks companies according to the most recent figures for contracting revenue in millions. By that measure, 2015 was a good year for many on ENR’s list and an overall record-setter. ENR reports that the Top 400 generated $344.14 billion in contracting revenue in 2015, an increase of 3.7% from 2014’s $331.94 billion. This year’s figure surpasses the previous Top 400 record of $338.38 billion in 2008 (reported in the 2009 Top 400 list).
“Recognition on this list puts us among some elite companies,” says Brad Birck, Enerfab’s Director of Business Development. “This helps show the size of Enerfab and our diverse capabilities.”
ENR’s numbers support the sense that the market for U.S. general contractors and construction managers has returned to pre-recession levels. Compared to recent struggles for oil, gas and metals internationally, ENR’s report is a good sign that the domestic market remains strong.
ENR provides engineering and construction news, analysis, commentary and data to construction industry professionals. ENR reports its weekly magazine has more than 47,000 paid subscribers and its website has more than 196,000 unique visitors a month.
